Job summary

Kingston Resorts in Myrtle Beach seeks a full-time Security Officer for 1st shift. The role covers patrols of the hotel and grounds, emergency response, and incident documentation. You will assist guests and maintain safety across a large 145-acre resort complex.

Requires 1–2 years of security experience (3–5 preferred), good English communication, and physical ability to handle lifting up to 50 lbs and long shifts. Benefits include PTO, health benefits, 401k matching, and more.

Qualifications

The Kingston Resorts is a 145 acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20 minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. This resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royale Palms. Job Summary

• Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel and property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
• Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
• Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed.
• Write reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Must have 1-2 years of Security experience in a similar industry. 3-5 years preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of building floor plans, layout, function rooms, and working knowledge of the City and surrounding area.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, many requiring high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
• Ability to listen effectively, speak, read and write English clearly to ascertain and document important information.
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property.
• Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry goods weighing up to 50 lbs and have sufficient manual dexterity in hands.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace.
• Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
