Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Loss Control Manager to lead loss-control and risk-management services for Trusts, Pools, and Associations. You’ll work with school districts and public entities, turning insurance concepts into practical guidance that prevents losses and manages risk with confidence.

You’ll design programs, conduct evaluations, and deliver engaging presentations across various settings while building trusted relationships with member organizations. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in property and casualty loss control, risk management, safety, or property inspection.
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty loss control principles.
• Knowledge of commercial property appraisal methods and data collection.
• Ability to independently conduct field inspections, evaluate exposures, and develop practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable with both small groups and large audiences.
• Analytical and mathematical aptitude; translate data for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve loss-control programs for our Trusts, Pools, and Associations.
• Conduct property and casualty loss-control evaluations across property, operations, vehicles, and facilities.
• Design and deliver loss-control presentations and training for small groups to large conferences and online platforms.
• Develop and administer a property appraisal system for Association members and non-member school districts.
• Analyze claims data to identify trends and prioritize impactful initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with member organizations as their risk-management resource.
• Prepare and present quarterly loss-control reports to governing boards and program managers.
• Lead departmental projects and collaborate with claims, underwriting, and program administration.
