Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking an Insurance Loss Control Field Representative to perform on-site inspections of property, general liability, and auto exposures in Port Lavaca, TX. You will generate comprehensive reports for underwriters and upload them via web-based systems, helping clients reduce losses through proven loss control practices.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience with commercial carriers or as an independent contractor, strong communication, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or as an independent contractor providing commercial loss control services.
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines including property, general liability, auto and workers compensation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills; proficient computer skills.
• Willingness to travel within a 60 mile radius.
• Professional certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections for property, general liability and auto exposures.
• Prepare and upload reports for underwriting purposes via a web-based system.
• Provide high-quality loss control surveys to guide underwriting decisions and help insured mitigate losses.
• Support insured clients with loss control recommendations and documentation.
