Job summary

Mountain West Insurance & Financial Services in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Loss Control Associate to assess risks, provide safety resources, and help clients reduce losses across Transportation and other lines. You will work with producers, account executives and claims staff, travel extensively, and support client service with data-driven analysis.

Qualifications include ASP or CSP or commitment to obtain, a clean driving record, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Overnight travel to Mountain West offices and clients (estimated 25–30%).
• Clean driving record and ability to drive personal vehicle to client locations.
• Prior insurance and/or Loss Control experience preferred.
• ASP or CSP designation or commit to obtaining within first year of employment.
• Ability to use computer, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and self-directed with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with account acquisition, client retention and reduce potential losses for clients.
• Provide safety surveys, risk analysis, safety resources and training assistance.
• Coordinate agency and client relations and discuss industry needs with stakeholders.
• Participate in safety training and stay current with professional designations.
• Provide timely client service and respond to questions and issues.
• Use EPIC data management system and follow agency workflows within timelines.
• Promote a positive team atmosphere and support the niche team lead and staff.
• Manage workload to meet agency standards and ensure timely responses.
