Job summary

Fathom Robotics, based in San Diego, CA, seeks a Reliability Engineer to guide LORA and FRACAS across sUSV systems. Travel to Ventura/Oxnard area is expected approximately twice a month.

You will lead FMECA and sparing models, ensuring readiness and sustainment through data-driven decisions. The role requires hands-on LORA/FMECA experience, ILS knowledge, and the ability to translate findings into actionable team requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing LORA and FMECA/FMEA on active programs.
• Strong grounding in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles.
• Degree in systems, industrial, reliability, naval/marine engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability translate technical findings into actionable requirements for other teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead LORA across sUSV subsystems, including propulsion, comms, and autonomy.
• Build and operate FRACAS to capture failures and drive corrective actions.
• Perform FMECA to determine repair level decisions.
• Develop sparing and inventory models for shore-based sustainment.
• Coordinate with technical teams to align procedures with analysis findings.
• Engage with Government stakeholders on technical reviews and milestones.
