Penske Motor Group is hiring an Express Lube Technician for Toyota of Prosper in Prosper, TX. The role involves performing oil changes, inspections, and minor repairs to ensure vehicles meet factory and dealership standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid TX driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Experience as a lube technician in a dealership/shop or currently in an automotive program.
• Knowledge of automotive parts; basic math concepts.
• Ability to pay attention to detail, read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and English instructions; communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes on guest vehicles.
• Inspect oil, cabin, air filters and fluids; replace as needed.
• Check tire pressures and add air as needed.
• Rotate tires and inspect brakes.
• Document all work on repair orders and inspection sheets.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment in good condition.
• Assist the service department as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Uphold high ethical standards and grooming.

Responsibilities

• Performs oil changes on guest vehicles.
• Inspects oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid level and replaces or replenishes as necessary.
• Check’s tire pressures and adds air, as needed.
• Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs.
• Performs a thorough check of guest’s vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Consultant.
• Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet.
• Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment.
• Assists the service department, as needed.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Achieves the production objectives set by management.
• Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
• Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid TX driver’s license, have, and maintain an acceptable safe driving record.
• Experience working as a lube technician in a dealership/shop OR currently attending a trade school or automotive program is required.
• Knowledge of automotive parts; basic mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages) and application.
• Ability to pay attention to detail; follow-up with internal and external guests; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehends instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone, Internet and in person; and use standard office equipment.
