Qualifications

• 5+ years professional video editing experience.

Responsibilities

• Edit longform documentary content end-to-end, from selects through final export.
• Develop story structure, pacing, and narrative flow based on script, notes, and editorial direction.
• Assemble sound-aligned edits and ensure coherent audio/video synchronization.
• Apply color correction and basic color grading to maintain visual consistency.
• Create and manage edit versions for internal reviews and client/distribution requirements.
• Collaborate with producers on revisions and feedback integration.

Avalanche Agency is an entity of KSE and is responsible for content planning, creation and distribution for the Colorado Avalanche.

We’re seeking an experienced Longform Content Video Editor to help produce compelling documentary-style videos from raw footage to final, broadcast-ready edits. You’ll collaborate closely with producers and videographers to shape story, pacing, and emotional impact—ensuring our longform content is engaging from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Edit longform documentary content end-to-end, from selects through final export


• Develop story structure, pacing, and narrative flow based on script, notes, and editorial direction


• Assemble sound-aligned edits and ensure coherent audio/video synchronization


• Apply color correction and basic color grading (as needed) to maintain visual consistency


• Create and manage edit versions for internal reviews and client/distribution requirements


• Collaborate with producers on revisions and feedback integration


• Work with graphics and motion assets, coordinating where needed for titles, lower thirds, and maps/overlays


• Ensure final deliverables meet technical specifications (codec, bitrate, captions, etc.)


• Maintain organized project files, media management, and version control

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional video editing experience, preferably in documentary or longform non-fiction


• Strong proficiency in editing software such as:


• Advanced in Adobe Premiere Pro


• Demonstrated ability to shape and refine storytelling through edit decisions


• Strong understanding of post-production workflows and finishing standards


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-moving production environment, handling multiple projects or deadlines


• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to creative notes and revision cycles
