Job summary

Total Life in The Villages seeks a Longevity Ambassador to represent the organization in the local community. You will conduct in-person wellness assessments of older adults and build relationships with physician practices, home health agencies, and club organizers.

You will host Total Life's longevity screening booth at local markets every Saturday, help attendees schedule their first appointment, and collaborate with our virtual therapy team to ensure smooth transitions into ongoing care.

Qualifications

• Genuinely extroverted and cheerful, able to start conversations with new people.
• Comfortable engaging with older adults in community settings and at booths.
• Willing to travel locally and represent Total Life professionally at partner sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person wellness assessments for emotional, cognitive, and social well-being of older adults.
• Serve as the local Total Life contact for clients, caregivers, and partners in The Villages.
• Build referral relationships with physician practices, home health agencies, and clubs; visit sites and follow up.
• Host the longevity screening booth at markets and events, engaging attendees and booking first appointments.
• Collaborate with virtual therapy team to ensure smooth transitions into ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and log outreach activities in the CRM daily.
• Participate in team meetings and help improve community-based programs.

About This Opportunity

We're growing our in-person community team and seeking a Longevity Ambassador to represent Total Life in The Villages.

This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys people. You'll be the cheerful, familiar face of Total Life in the community — conducting in-person wellness assessments with older adults, building relationships with physician practices and community organizers, and hosting our longevity screening booth at a local market every Saturday.

The Villages is unlike anywhere else we work. Residents here are active, independent, and organized into hundreds of clubs and recreation groups. Most of the people you meet won't be looking for a clinician. Your job is to make the case that emotional wellness is part of living well, and to make that conversation something people actually want to have.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person wellness assessments for older adults to evaluate emotional, cognitive, and social well-being
• Represent Total Life in the community and at partner sites as the local point of contact for clients, caregivers, and partners
• Build and maintain referral relationships with physician practices, home health agencies, activity directors, and club organizers across The Villages and surrounding communities — including in-person visits, delivering materials, and consistent follow-up
• Host Total Life's longevity screening booth at a local market each Saturday, along with screening events at recreation centers, health fairs, and club gatherings — including setup, engaging attendees, and helping interested older adults book their first appointment
• Collaborate with our virtual therapy team to ensure smooth transitions into ongoing care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, and log all community outreach activity in our CRM the same day
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving our community-based programs

About This Territory

The Villages is one of the largest active adult communities in the country, home to well over a hundred thousand residents across Sumter, Lake, and Marion Counties. The community runs on an extraordinarily busy social calendar — recreation centers, clubs, health fairs, and events happening every day of the week. Someone who already knows how that calendar works will have a significant head start in this role.

Requirements

• Genuinely extroverted and cheerful — a large part of this role is starting conversations with people you have never met, and enjoying it
• Real energy in front of a group. You'll spend hours at a table starting one conversation after another
• Comfortable walking into a physician's office and introducing yourself without an appointment
• Warm, patient, and genuinely interested in older adults
• Healthcare background or currently enrolled healthcare student — Medical Assistant, CNA, nursing, social work, public health, or gerontology
• Available a minimum of 10 hours per week, including 4 hours every Saturday managing our booth at a local market
• Reliable transportation for local travel
• Comfortable using a CRM and standard phone and email tools
• Able to transport and set up booth materials
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

What Will Set You Apart

• Existing familiarity with The Villages — its recreation centers, club structure, and community calendar
• Experience working with older adults or in geriatric care
• Prior experience running booths, events, or community programming
• Established relationships within your local community
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Schedule

• Remaining hours are flexible. In The Villages, community events often fall in mornings and early evenings, so some flexibility outside standard business hours is helpful
