Job summary

Audubon Schools seeks a dedicated Teacher to provide an engaging, enriching educational experience for students at an assigned campus. The role reports to the Principal and is a full-time position.

Responsibilities include creating lesson and unit plans aligned to state standards, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, and communicating with families. Collaboration with staff and adherence to state and regional program requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required for teaching licensure.
• Certification or ability to gain certification as a Teacher in instructional area is required.
• Master’s degree in education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create lesson and unit plans that support instructional outcomes and reflect important concepts in the discipline.
• Provide clear and accurate classroom explanations and respond to student questions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied abilities and use formative/summative assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary connections and PLC participation.
• Maintain timely communications with families regarding student progress.
• Comply with the French accredited program and Louisiana state standards.
