Job summary

TMSA Charlotte Elementary - Concord Campus in Concord, North Carolina seeks a Long Term Substitute Teacher to cover classrooms and duties in the absence of the regular teacher. Starting Nov 2, 2026, successful candidates will support an orderly classroom, follow provided lesson plans, and maintain confidentiality of student information.

Requirements include two years of college or an associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and strong communication skills. Prior school experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college (60 semester hours) or Associate’s Degree.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Previous school/classroom experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of all student, parent, and staff information
• Sign in and out daily in the main office
• Use the timesheet within Frontline for monthly payment
• Maintain a safe learning environment and an orderly classroom
• Follow the provided lesson plans
• Take accurate student attendance
• Perform other duties during non-teaching time as instructed by an administrator or administrative assistant other than during the scheduled lunch period
• Leave a note with any necessary information for the teacher when he/she returns to the classroom
• Other duties, as assigned by supervisor/administrator.

Primary Role:
