Job summary

TMSA Charlotte Elementary - Concord Campus in Concord, North Carolina is seeking a Long-Term Substitute School Counselor to provide classroom support in the absence of the regular teacher and to uphold student welfare.

You should have at least two years of college or an associate degree, with a bachelor’s preferred, and demonstrate strong organization, communication, and computer skills for tasks such as attendance, timesheets, and confidential information management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college (60 semester hours) or Associate’s Degree.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Previous school/classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of all student, parent, and staff information.
• Sign in and out daily in the main office.
• Use the timesheet within Frontline for monthly payment.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and an orderly classroom.
• Follow the provided lesson plans.
• Take accurate student attendance.
• Perform other duties during non-teaching time as instructed by an administrator or administrative assistant other than during the scheduled lunch period.
• Leave a note with any necessary information for the teacher when he/she returns to the classroom.
• Other duties, as assigned by supervisor/administrator.
