Position Title

Job Overview

Our clients are seeking Substitute Teachers in your area. Substitute Teachers are assigned to classrooms who need assistance to maintain appropriate and equitable participation in school.

Client's Hourly Rate & Available Hours

• Starting at $27-$33/hr depending on Contractor's qualifications, availability, and skills.
• Monday-Friday (8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)

Responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plan(s) left by the teacher for whom you are substituting in accordance with district's philosophy, goals and objectives.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria.
• Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan.

Required Experience & Education

• Bachelor's Degree Required.
• PA Substitute Teaching Certification or willing to go through emergency certification/Building sub permit process.
• Ability to complete and satisfactorily pass State Criminal Record Check, State Child Abuse, Department of Education FBI.
