Substitute Teacher Responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plan(s) left by the teacher for whom you are substituting in accordance with the district's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground, and in the cafeteria.
• Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• PA Substitute Teaching Certification or willingness to go through emergency certification/Building sub permit process.
• Ability to complete and satisfy State Criminal Record Check, State Child Abuse Registry, Department of Education, and FBI background checks.

Hours & Pay
