Job summary

LearnWell in Raleigh, NC seeks a passionate substitute teacher to join our behavioral health facility. The role is part-time year-round, 20 hours weekly (Mon-Fri, 11:30am-3:30pm), delivering daily lesson plans and individualized student support in a small classroom (8–15 students).

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• North Carolina Teaching License (required)
• Comfortable working with students in grades 5-12

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans and provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain attendance and session reports.
• Class sizes range from 8 to 15 students at a time.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $25.00 Hourly

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative substitute teacher to join our team in Raleigh, NC on a part-time basis year-round. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 20-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 11:30am-3:30pm.
