LearnWell in Newark, DE is seeking a passionate teacher to support adolescent students in a behavioral health facility. The role can be full or part-time for the school year, with a potential Summer option, and involves working in a fast-paced setting with 12–15 students per class.

You will plan daily lessons, provide individualized help, and regularly communicate progress. Attendance and session reports must be maintained, and teaching strategies adjusted to foster student success.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Newark, DE on a full or part-time basis for the school year (with a potential Summer option). This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 12 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 40, 30 or 20-hour a week commitment (school year or year round), Monday-Friday.
