Daniel Boone Area School District seeks a Long Term Substitute Middle School Classroom Teacher to cover instructional needs as scheduled by the principal. The candidate will plan and deliver instruction, monitor pupil progress, and engage students across core subjects.

• Follow the procedures in the handbook for fire drills, report cards, eligibility reports, etc.
• Attend all faculty, team and department meetings and participate in in-service activities.

• The individual's credentials are in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations governing individuals functioning in the capacity of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach the subjects required in the curriculum and planned course documents as assigned by the middle school principal in accordance with the district's proposed schedule
• Prepare written lesson plans as a basis for the day's activities
• Perform such general building duties as prescribed by the principal
• Provide supervision in the halls during the passing of classes
• Follow the procedure prescribed in the handbook in regard to fire drills, report cards, eligibility reports, failures, etc.
• Attend all faculty, team and department meetings as required by the principal
• Participate in all in-service and training activities
• Comply with requests and recommendations of the department chairpersons
• Plan and initiate parent-teacher conferences when desirable
• Contribute to the development of the annual instructional budget
• Perform such additional responsibilities as may be determined by the Board of School Directors and the district administration
