Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Licensed or in the process of obtaining IL substitute teaching credential.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.
• Experience in curriculum development, differentiated instruction, classroom management, and personalized learning.
• Experience teaching math at high school level, preferably in alternative/special education or behavioral health settings.
• Experience with at-risk students and diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Design daily lesson plans and schedules aligned with state standards and school expectations.
• Deliver rigorous, engaging instruction using curriculum resources and educational technology.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide instructional support and curriculum modifications.
• Establish and enforce behavioral expectations for a safe, structured learning environment.
• Maintain consistent instructional approach grounded in structure and high expectations.
• Communicate progress with parents/guardians and discuss factors influencing performance.
• Participate in team meetings to align on intervention strategies.
• Monitor progress through data and performance metrics.
• Stay current with best practices and professional development.
• Model professionalism and respond to feedback for growth.
• Perform additional duties to support classroom operations and student success.
