Job summary

Dayton Early College Academy seeks a Long-term Substitute Intervention Specialist to support K-12 students through IEP-based interventions and advisory-group planning. You will build relationships with students and families and help implement DECA PREP’s mission.

You will work under the campus principal, collaborating with teachers to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction and maintain records and progress updates regularly.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License or Ohio Substitute Teaching License.
• Experience with technology integration in teaching and learning.
• Sound classroom management and ability to adapt.
• Knowledge of state and national standards and IDEA rules.
• Ability to define problems and analyze data.
• Effective collaboration and leadership skills.
• Passion for learning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model for students.
• Assess student strengths and needs.
• Develop meaningful relationships with students and families.
• Plan instructional programs tailored to each advisee.
• Report progress quarterly to parents and in meetings.
