Job summary

Zumbro Education District (ZED) is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher for the Area Learning Center (ALC) in Kasson, MN. The assignment runs from November 5, 2026 through February 8, 2027, with daily instruction from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

A valid Minnesota teaching license or substitute licensure is required. The substitute will deliver mathematics instruction, support student learning, and collaborate with ALC staff to maintain continuity during the absence.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching mathematics to middle/high school students.
• Ability to provide differentiated instruction and support.

Responsibilities

Position Summary
The Area Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher to provide high-quality mathematics instruction and support students during an extended teacher absence starting on November 5th, 2026 thru February 8th, 2027.

Area Learning Center (ALC): The ALC serves students in grades 6-12 with alternative programming.ALC teachers prioritize relationships first while delivering academic programming in various content areas; develop and deliver curricular content based on state and local standards; communicate and collaborate regularly with multiple stakeholders; implement whole group, small group, and differentiated instruction with a focus on personalized learning; embed social-emotional learning, various technologies and a variety of pedagogical approaches into daily activities; establish effective classroom systems with a focus on restorative and trauma-informed practices.
