Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 48 college credits or an associate’s degree, or ParaPro/WorkKeys passing score.
• Experience with elementary-aged children preferred.
• Safety-Care training or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Read student IEPs and engage in related PD.
• Support general and special education teachers.
• Reinforce lessons with individuals or small groups.
• Assist with classroom management and supervision.
• Administer behavior modification programs and track data.
• Assist with accommodations and strategies for instruction.
• Cover classroom during teacher absence.
• Escort and assist students throughout the building and on community-based experiences.
• Support students with technology access for remote instruction.
• Attend district/building professional development.
