Job summary

Dedicated School Staffing, in partnership with Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West, seeks dedicated Long-Term Preschool Aides to support students and staff in Maumee, OH. This role emphasizes instructional support, individualized learning accommodations, and maintaining a positive classroom environment throughout an extended assignment.

Requirements include 18+, HS diploma or equivalent, appropriate educational aide permit or license, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Educational aide permit or higher teaching license per state regulations.
• Clear criminal background checks.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and remain patient and calm.
• Flexibility, empathy and commitment to student growth.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to support students requiring lifting or mobility assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in implementing educational programs for students with disabilities per IEP.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to individual student needs.
• Maintain clear communication with the teacher of record.
• Collect data to monitor student progress and complete required reports.
• Assist students with tasks related to the educational program and daily activities.
• Support classroom management and student behavior strategies.
• Assist with crisis intervention when needed.
• Supervise students during non-classroom settings and breaks.
• Assist with routine clerical tasks and maintaining classroom records.
