Job summary

Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF) seeks a Long Term Guest Teacher in Mathematics to plan and facilitate student-centered learning aligned to CCSS. The role reports to the Mathematics Division Head and is a substitute assignment.

The ideal candidate will hold an Illinois Professional Educator’s License with a Math endorsement and will demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusive education for all students. ESL/CS endorsements are preferred and collaboration with staff is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator's License with Math endorsement.
• ESL and Computer Science endorsements preferred.
• Commitment to equity and creating an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and instruct students on district Mathematics curriculum aligned to the Common Core Standards.
• Develop lesson plans and goals that meet district expectations.
• Provide instruction incorporating the Common Core Eight Mathematical Practices.
• Review student progress via assessments and develop intervention strategies.
• Communicate progress with parents and students regarding achievement.
