Job summary

The Louisa-Muscatine Community School District is seeking a Long-Term Kindergarten Substitute Teacher for our Elementary School, with an assignment starting mid-October and ending in late January 2027. The schedule runs 7:45am–3:45pm (Mon-Thu) and 7:45am–2:45pm on Fridays, with Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holidays observed.

Applicants must hold an Iowa teaching license (initial/standard/master or substitute).

Qualifications

• Iowa initial, standard, master or substitute teaching license is required.
• Valid Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter (2hr) certificate is required or we can assist in obtaining it.
• Seizure First Aid training (30 minutes) is required or training can be arranged by the district.

The Louisa-Muscatine Community School District is searching for a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for our Elementary School (Kindergarten) for an assignment beginning approximately Mid-October and ending mid to late January, 2027. Time off will be given for Thanksgiving (November 25 - 27) and Christmas/New Year's (December 23rd through January 1st).

This position requires an Iowa initial, standard, master or substitute teaching license. Candidates must have a valid Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter (2hr) certificate, a FREE 30 minute Seizure First Aid training and Free Appropriate Public Education (F.A.P.E.) training. We are able to assist in obtaining the required training.

$180 Per Day or $200 Per Day for Retired Teachers.

Hours: 7:45am - 3:45pm Monday - Thursday; 7:45am - 2:45 pm on Friday
