Job summary

Bethlehem Area School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Regular Education for a long-term substitute at Miller Heights Elementary School. The role runs seven hours per day, Monday through Friday, during regular school hours, starting as soon as possible through the end of the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities include supporting students' educational and social development, assisting with academic and behavioral needs, and providing individualized and small group support.

Qualifications

• Supports students' educational and social development under guidance of classroom teacher
• Assists with academic, behavioral, and organizational needs to promote student success
• Provides individualized and small group support inside and outside the classroom
• Communicates effectively with students, staff and parents

Responsibilities

• Support students' educational and social development under the guidance of the classroom teacher
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and organizational needs to promote student success
• Provide individualized and small group support inside and outside the classroom to encourage full participation in school activities
• Communicate and interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Provide assistance with student personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and other self-care tasks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned
