Job summary

KIPP Memphis Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Teacher for High School to support teachers and students across our campuses in North Memphis. Starting immediately, this full-time, non-exempt position runs Oct 2026 through May 2027.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree or 48 college hours with 2 years of teaching experience, Tennessee licensure, strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage diverse classrooms. Compensation is $25/hour.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate and coordinate with the instructor to assist daily lesson plans.
• Aid in preparing materials for projects, including art and science.
• Provide individual assistance to children in small groups.
• Adhere to school rules and ensure student safety.
• Assist teachers in reviewing, grading and recording homework and tests.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support as needed.
