Job summary

KIPP Memphis Public Schools in Memphis is seeking a Substitute Teacher for High School to support daily instruction under the guidance of the Principal and teachers. This full-time, non-exempt role requires a valid Tennessee teaching license and a commitment to a long-term assignment starting immediately.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the instructor on daily lesson plans, helping prepare materials for art and science, providing targeted support in small groups, maintaining classroom

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Active Tennessee teaching license required.
Ability to commit to a long-term assignment.
Strong communication with teachers and parents.
Excellent organizational skills for daily lesson material prep.
Patience and professionalism with children.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with instructor on daily lesson plans.
Prepare materials for art and science projects.
Provide individual assistance to students in small groups.

Ensure student safety during class, field trips, and on campus.
Assist teachers in reviewing, grading, and recording homework and tests.
Monitor and assess student progress; identify students needing more one-on-one guidance.
