Customer Service & Billing Pharmacy Technician - M Chest Pharmacy

M Chest Pharmacy in Texas is seeking a TSBP registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Customer Service Technician! The Customer Service Technician handles billing functions and exceptions including resolving insurance rejections, manage high-cost Medicare A Medications, collaborate with insurance providers, nursing center staff and prescriber's office, provide support and feedback to pharmacy personnel regarding billing errors, and to contribute to a team environment focused on operational efficiency and excellent customer service.

Monday - Friday 10:30a -7:30p

*Rotating Saturday & Sunday schedule (every other week)

+Days off will occur during the week when scheduled for weekend rotation

Pay Range

Specifically, youwill beresponsible for:

• Working to reduce nursing facility medication spend through strategic billing practices
• Entering prescription orders accurately and efficiently
• Processing third-party adjudications and resolving claims rejections
• Managing hospice-related claims with attention to detail and compliance
• Handling third-party prior authorization requests
• Processing new patient admissions, including intake of face sheets and entry of payor source information

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Computer skills, including fundamental knowledge of Windows based software programs, including but not limited to word processing and spreadsheet applications specifically MS Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organization skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamicenvironment.
• Ability to effectively and harmoniously interact with facility, group, division and company management and other employees at all levels; promotes teamwork and demonstrates strongprofessionalism.
• Ability to communicate, perform and comprehend variables within the pharmacyoperation.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to all external and internalcustomers.
• Keeps abreast of current state, federal and company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Understand, promote and comply with rules and regulations governing residents' rights.

Qualified applicants must have

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy Technician Certification registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, in "active" status and in Good Standing

Preferred applicants will have

• One year of pharmacy billing experience preferred
