Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking an Options Counselor and Enrollment Specialist to provide a central source of information about programs and services for older adults and people with disabilities. You will assist clients in understanding options, assess needs, and enroll in publicly funded long-term care programs such as Family Care and IRIS.

Responsibilities include in-person and remote counseling, resource navigation, and maintaining client records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or a license to practice as a registered nurse in Wisconsin or related field.
• Equivalent of at least one year of full-time experience in a health or human service field.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
• Prompt and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and assistance including listening to the consumer and assessing needs.
• Arrange in-home, office, or remote information and assistance interactions.
• Be knowledgeable of Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and related benefits.
• Identify risk factors and refer individuals to prevention and early intervention services.
• Maintain certification to administer the Long-Term Care Functional Screen and to provide Option Counselor services.
• Provide counseling about long-term care options and related factors.
