Job summary

Timberland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Butler, Alabama is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our skilled nursing team. You will assist residents with daily activities, mobility, and vital signs, working closely with the nursing staff in a fast-paced long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Active CNA Certification in Alabama.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and exercise programs.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and other health indicators.
• Observe residents' physical and emotional condition and report any concerns to supervisors.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meals, hydration and feeding as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, including making beds and changing linens.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges and transfers while ensuring comfort.
• Document care provided accurately in medical records and charts.
• Communicate effectively with residents, facilities and other team members.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and urgent needs.
