Job summary

Stonehaven Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our growing team in Bessemer, Alabama. You will work with our nursing staff to provide excellent care to residents, assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring comfort and well-being.

Active Alabama CNA certification and experience in long-term care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification required in Alabama.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and exercise programs.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and other health indicators.
• Observe residents' condition and report concerns to supervisors.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, including making beds and changing linens.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers while ensuring comfort.
• Document care provided in medical records and charts.
• Communicate effectively with residents, facilities, and team members.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and urgent needs.
