Qualifications

• Valid PDP and a heavy-duty vehicle license (Code 10 or Code 14).
• Proven intercity or long-haul driving experience.
• Knowledge of Free State road networks and major corridors.
• Excellent driving record with no major offenses.
• Ability to work independently for extended periods.
• Physically fit for occasional heavy lifting.
• Pass a comprehensive background check and medical examination.
• Reliability, punctuality and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-duty intercity routes, servicing Welkom and the Free State.
• Plan long-distance routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, transported and unloaded per client requirements.
• Maintain logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details as required.
• Follow national and provincial traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Communicate route status and issues with dispatch and operations.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs for timely repairs.
• Represent the company professionally to clients during transit.
