Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Manager for its Hopewell, Virginia site. The role leads daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping, while coordinating with production, QA, and customer service to meet commitments.

You will manage ~10 onsite staff and drive improvements using SAP and other tools to enhance safety, efficiency, and visibility. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree preferred.
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant warehouse/logistics experience.
• People leadership experience; able to lead ~10 employees.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety, regulatory compliance, and hazardous materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse and logistics operations at the Hopewell site, including receiving, storage, shipments, and transportation.
• Coach and develop Warehouse Operators and Logistics Coordinators to foster a safe, accountable team environment.
• Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, QA, Customer Service, EHSS, and other teams to support plant operations and customer requirements.
• Maintain safe and compliant operations in line with regulations and Evonik EHSQ requirements.
• Drive process improvements, digital tools, dashboards to improve visibility, efficiency, and safety.
• Support incident investigations, audits, freight claims, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with carriers and vendors to resolve transport issues and optimize service.
