Job summary

Evonik Group is seeking a warehouse operations professional to manage inbound and outbound shipping, ensuring safe, efficient handling of materials. You’ll store, count, and inventory raw materials, supplies, and finished goods, while maintaining training certifications to perform duties effectively.

You will pull orders, stage materials for shipments, load/unload trailers with DOT-compliant procedures, verify QC samples and BOL accuracy, and use SAP for ERP transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders from storage areas and warehouses for customer orders and stock transfers.
• Staging and prepping materials for shipments including drums, totes, and pails.
• Load and unload trailers with proper bracing and weight distribution.
• Verify material quality with onsite QC lab and confirm BOL/shipment accuracy.
• Record inventory in ERP system and perform cycle counts.
• Ensure outbound packages comply with DOT/RCRA labeling and documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in plant warehouse areas.
• Perform SAP transactions to ensure inventory accuracy and conduct safety walkthroughs.

Responsible for inbound / outbound shipping and receiving activities and ensuring that they are performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, while adhering to all procedures and regulations. Handles storing, counting and proper inventorying of all raw materials, supplies and finished goods. Maintains their training certifications to effectively perform the duties of the job.

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Pulling orders from storage areas and warehouses for customer order and stock transfers.
• Staging and prepping materials, super sacs, drums, totes and pails for shipments.
• Loading trailers of all sizes with proper bracing and weight distribution to meet DOT regulations.
• Unloading trailers after verifying material quality with onsite QC lab, verifying BOL and shipment accuracy.
• Placing containers in proper locations, both physically and in ERP system utilizing scanners and tablets for Warehouse Management (i.e. SAP).
• Cycle counting plant inventory and reporting inaccurate counts.
• Verifying outbound packages meet DOT and/or RCRA Hazardous Waste compliance (i.e. labeling, condition, etc.).
• Performing housekeeping of all the plant warehouse and storage areas to maintain high standard of cleanliness.
• Perform transactions in SAP to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Doing safety walkthroughs and inspections of workplace and equipment.
• Verifying proper labeling and documentation on all package containers prior to shipping or offloading.
• Stopping the job or task when an unsafe behavior or condition is observed

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office, SAP (preferred)
• Able to work 8-hour fixed shifts M-F, and Weekends as needed
• Good communication skills – vocal and written
• Strong commitment to safety
• Team player
