Job summary

Evonik Industries AG is seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Manager for our Hopewell, Virginia manufacturing site. This hands-on leadership role will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure safe and compliant processes, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet production and customer needs.

You will lead a team of about 10 personnel, drive efficiency through SAP-based systems, and implement digital tools for visibility and safety.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Approximately 5+ years of relevant warehouse/logistics experience.
Previous people leadership or supervisory experience required; 3+ years preferred.
Experience with SAP or a similar ERP, warehouse management, or transportation management system preferred.
Knowledge of DOT and IATA hazardous materials/dangerous goods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across functions and with external partners.

Responsibilities

Lead daily warehouse and logistics operations at the Hopewell site, including receiving, storage, finished goods shipments, raw material movements, domestic transportation, imports, exports, and air freight activities.
Lead and develop Warehouse Operators and Logistics Coordinators, fostering a safe, accountable team environment.
Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, EHSS, and other teams to support operations and customer requirements.
Maintain safe, compliant operations per regulations and Evonik EHSQ standards; manage capacity and response to operational challenges.
Support inventory accuracy and warehouse processes using SAP and other tools; identify process improvements and digital solutions.
Assist with incident investigations, audits, freight claims, and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with carriers and vendors to coordinate transportation and resolve issues.
Establish performance measures and pursue cost savings and efficiency gains.
Contribute to site initiatives and cross-functional improvements at Hopewell.
