Dessert Holdings is seeking a Logistics Transportation Coordinator to oversee daily transportation and logistics at the Humble, TX facility for the Atlanta Cheesecake Company. This role coordinates shipments, communicates with carriers and internal teams, and ensures timely movement of freight.

The ideal candidate will have strong organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with knowledge of transportation regulations and good data-record

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, receiving, shipping, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, drivers, and customers.
• Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
• Dispatch drivers and optimize routes for efficiency and cost savings.
• Resolve transportation delays, delivery issues, and customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate transportation records, bills of lading (BOLs), and shipping documentation.
• Verify freight charges, review invoices, and assist with billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely loading and unloading of freight.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and customers.
• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and reduced costs.
• Perform other logistics and administrative duties as assigned.
