Job summary

Dessert Holdings, maker of world-class desserts including The Original Cakerie, seeks a detail‑oriented Logistics Transportation Coordinator to oversee daily transportation and logistics at our Humble, TX facility. You will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and internal teams, and ensure timely freight movement in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in transportation or warehouse coordination, proficiency with Excel/Outlook, and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in transportation, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, drivers, and customers.
• Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
• Dispatch drivers and optimize routes for efficiency and cost savings.
• Resolve transportation delays, delivery issues, and customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate transportation records, bills of lading (BOLs), and shipping documentation.
• Verify freight charges, review invoices, and assist with billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely loading and unloading of freight.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and customers.
• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and reduced costs.
• Perform other logistics and administrative duties as assigned.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Transportation Coordinatorto oversee the daily transportation and logistics operations based at our manufacturing facility in Humble, TX.The ideal candidate will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and internal teams, and ensure the timely movement of freight. Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, drivers, and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, receiving, shipping, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in logistics transportation.
• Experience working with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Leadership abilities and the ability to work independently.

SCHEDULE

• Monday–Friday, 9am-5pm
• Occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require
