Job summary

Driverge in Chico, CA is hiring a Logistics Technician to manage the receipt, storage, and movement of materials across production areas. Responsibilities include inventory tracking, quality checks, and coordination with suppliers to resolve issues, while operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

You will use WMS, Excel for data analysis, and maintain safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Receiving experience preferred; automotive parts experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data entry and inventory reporting.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with inventory management best practices (cycle counting, stock rotation, QA).
• Able to pass written and driving multi-forklift assessments on site; valid driver’s license required.
• Required background checks and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials per shipping/receiving protocols.
• Inspect incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders; document discrepancies.
• Manage receiving processes: logging receipts, quality checks, supplier coordination.
• Move materials between docks, storage, and production areas using equipment.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and related equipment safely.
• Track inventory levels; report shortages, overages, and damages.
• Maintain accurate in-process inventory at work centers; stage materials as needed.
• Locate materials via production orders and locations; verify using WMS tools.
• Label and locate items; use scanners/RFID to transfer parts between locations.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and QA to resolve delivery issues.
