Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Technician in Florida to manage movement, maintenance, and staging of heavy equipment across multiple sites. The role blends professional driving (CDL), equipment operation, and logistics management to keep field crews productive.

You will load, haul, and unload equipment, coordinate with crew leads for timely material deliveries, and perform regular inspections. A CDL, 2–3 years of equipment experience, and OSHA knowledge are essential assets for success.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required.
• 2–3 years of equipment operation (skid steers, mini excavators, forklifts).
• Strong safety mindset with knowledge of OSHA load-securing standards.
• Experience using digital tools for timekeeping and asset tracking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport and mobilize heavy equipment using gooseneck trailers and dump trucks.
• Coordinate material delivery to job sites according to schedule.
• Assist crews by operating machinery for site prep and grading.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and weekly maintenance checks on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain tool/inventory records and ensure equipment is returned to yard.
• Coordinate material pickups from vendors and nurseries, ensuring loads are signed.

Job Summary

The Logistics Technician is responsible for the movement, maintenance, and staging of all heavy equipment and materials across multiple job sites. This role requires a hybrid skillset of professional driving (CDL) , heavy equipment operation , and logistics management . You are the backbone of our site-efficiency, ensuring our field crews never have to wait on tools or materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport & Mobilization: Safely load, haul, and unload heavy equipment (Skid steers, excavators, mini-loaders ) using gooseneck trailers and dump trucks.
• Site Logistics: Coordinate with Crew Leads to deliver materials (stone, sod, plant material) to job sites according to the weekly production schedule.
• Equipment Operation: Assistcrews by operating machinery for site prep, grading, and material staging as needed.
• Asset Management: Perform daily pre-trip inspections and weekly maintenance checks on trucks and trailers. Report any repair needsimmediatelyto the shop.
• Inventory Integrity: Maintainthe "Tool Inventory Sheet" for all support vehicles and ensure all specialized gear is tracked and returned to the yard.
• Vendor Coordination: Execute material pick-ups from local vendors and nurseries, ensuring loads areaccurateand signed for correctly.

Required Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Class A.
• Equipment Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years operatingskid steers, mini-excavators, and forklifts in a construction or landscape setting.
• Clean Driving Record: No major violations in the last 3 years; must be insurable under the company’s commercial policy.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to use digital tracking tools (like ADP or Inventory Apps) for timekeeping and asset tracking.
• Safety Mindset: Deep understanding of OSHA load-securing standards and trailer safety.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in the Florida climate for extended periods.
