Job description

Driver, Equipment and Material Transport

Boynton Beach, United States | Posted on 08/22/2026

Green Image Landscaping and Tree Service

We maintain, build and care for commercial properties and HOA communities across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade. Grounds maintenance, landscape install and enhancement, tree work, and irrigation through our own division, Water Wizard.

About 20 people work here, and most of them are in the field.

What that actually means if you work here:

  • Year round work. South Florida does not stop growing in January and neither do we. There is no seasonal layoff.
  • Commercial only. Fixed routes and properties you get to know, not a different residential driveway every hour.
  • Equipment that starts. Gear gets replaced before it fails, not after.
  • Room to move. Groundsman to crew leader. Crew leader to foreman. Groundsman to climber or irrigation tech. Those moves are open.

We are based in Boca Raton and work across all three counties.

Job Description

Driver, Equipment and Material Transport | Green Image | Boynton Beach, FL. Field based, 3 county service area | 4 day work week: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch. 40 hours in 4 days, Fridays off. Occasional Friday overtime.

LOCATION

Field based across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Report to the Boynton Beach yard.

SCHEDULE

Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch break. That is a full 40 hours in 4 days, and Fridays off. Occasional overtime on Fridays.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role owns whether crews, machines and material are where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be there. A crew standing in a parking lot waiting on a machine is the failure this job exists to prevent.

You haul equipment and material to commercial and HOA job sites across three counties, and you move machines between sites during the day as Production directs.

You are accountable for the load arriving secured and undamaged, and for the truck and trailer being road legal every time they leave the yard.

This is a strong fit for someone who already knows how to load and secure a machine on a trailer and does not need to be watched doing it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Haul equipment, machines and material to assigned commercial and HOA job sites.
  • Load, secure and unload machines on trailers, including skid steers and mini excavators.
  • Complete a documented pre trip and post trip inspection of the truck and trailer every day.
  • Move machines between job sites during the day as directed by Production.
  • Confirm arrival with the crew leader or foreman at each site.
  • Report mechanical problems, tire condition and lighting faults to the shop the day you find them.
  • Turn in fuel receipts and delivery documentation by the next business day.
  • Communicate delays to the assigned manager as soon as you know, not after the crew has been waiting.

WHAT YOU WON'T DO

  • You will not plan the daily dispatch or decide the order of deliveries. Production owns that.
  • You will not perform equipment or vehicle repair. You report condition, the shop performs the work.
  • You will not run or supervise a crew on the job site.
  • You will not own DOT compliance filing or fleet record keeping.
  • You will not perform landscape or tree work between runs.

TOOLS

  • Truck and trailer combinations, including gooseneck and equipment trailers
  • Load securing: chains, binders, straps
  • Skid steer and mini excavator loading and unloading
  • Dump truck where the route requires it

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Florida driver license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer
  • Demonstrated trailer towing experience, including backing a loaded trailer
  • Able to load and secure heavy equipment correctly and legally
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in South Florida heat and rain
  • Reliable and on time, with a work history that shows it
  • Able to communicate delays clearly and early
  • Preferred: CDL A or B
  • Preferred: current DOT medical card
  • Preferred: Spanish and English

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Equipment and material arrive on site by the time committed to the crew.
  • Documented pre trip and post trip inspection completed every work day.
  • Zero preventable vehicle incidents or citations.
  • Zero equipment damage in transit or during loading and unloading.
  • Mechanical and safety faults reported to the shop the day they are found.
  • Fuel receipts and delivery documentation turned in by the next business day.
  • Delays communicated to the assigned manager before the crew is left waiting.
