Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) seeks a Logistics Supply Specialist in New Jersey to manage receipt, storage, issue, and turn-in of supplies. You will prepare supply documents, maintain accurate records, and operate a 4,000 lb forklift in a warehouse setting alongside a team.

The role requires Army logistics familiarity, OSHA-compliant lifting, and proficiency with GCSS Army, AESIP, SAP, and MS Excel. US citizenship and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Experience with GCSS Army or similar logistics systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and database/inventory software.

Responsibilities

  • Handles supply operations: receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, stores, issues, delivers, and turns in supplies.
  • Prepares unit- and organizational-level supply documents and uses unit-level computers to maintain automated systems.
  • Maintains records with attention to serial numbers, quantities, and condition of items.
  • Physically lifts heavy equipment and uses PPE as required.
  • Provides technical guidance and coordinates with unit Supply Officer and Commander on logistics matters.
  • Inspects work for compliance and assists audits and transfers of high-value items.
  • Operates forklift (4,000 lb capacity) to support warehouse operations and truck loading.
  • Experience with Army or military supply roles preferred.

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Logistics Supply Specialist to join our team! This position will be a full-time position available, in Picatinny Arsenal, for a Logistics Supply Specialist with Army supply background (92Y or 91A). This role requires an individual to be familiar with Army supply forms and regulations, issuing equipment, turning in equipment, inventory process, creating sub-hand receipts, and prepping equipment for turn-in.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of DEVCOM AC.

Duties include:

  • Responsible for performing duties involving the request, receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and preservation of individual, organizational, installation, and expendable supplies and equipment.
  • Supply Operations & Handling: Receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers, and turns in organizational and installation supplies and equipment.
  • Documentation & Automation: Prepares all unit- and organizational-level supply documents and operates unit-level computers (ULC) to maintain automated supply systems for accounting. These systems include but are not limited to GCSS (G-Army), AESIP, DLA, SAP, MS Excel, Adobe forms and similar database systems. The individual will need to be familiar with Army Logistics Systems (ALS), supply form, and supply regulations.
  • Records Maintenance: Prepares and maintains physical and digital organizational supply records, forms, and files with great attention to detail for serial #s, quantities, and condition of supplies / equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Routinely lifts, lowers, and carry heavy equipment (less than 50 lbs.) (such as weapons cases, cases of paper, IT equipment, and supply totes) while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Technical Guidance & Leadership: Provides guidance to customers and users to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance on supply operations.
  • Inspections & Quality Control: Inspects completed work for compliance with established procedures and coordinates unit supply activities. Double checks their own work for accuracy and works closely with other supply staff to act as another set of eyes on audits and transfers of high value equipment and non-expendable supplies.
  • Command Advisory: Actively assists, coordinates with, and advises the unit Supply Officer (S4) and the Unit Commander on all logistics and property posture matters
  • Operate 4,000lb capacity forklift to conduct warehouse operations and load transport trucks.
  • Army or Military experience in supply roles preferred.
