Job summary

MAHLE Thermal and Filter Systems US in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a Logistics Supervisor to lead daily logistics and distribution activities, ensuring safe, cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar logistics supervisor role.
• Strong SAP usage and ERP system proficiency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and logistics software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your Contribution

As a Logistics Supervisor reporting to the Logistics Leader, you will lead and coordinate daily logistics and distribution activities to ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods. The position oversees assigned warehouse operations and shipping and receiving while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a point of contact for cross‑functional teams, provides direction and coaching to logistics personnel, and drives continuous improvement in operational performance, service levels, and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
• Supervising logistics, warehouse, and transportation.
• Organizing warehouses, label goods, plot routes and process shipments.
• Responding to any issues or complaints.
• Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing and carriers.
• Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
• Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
• Developing relationships with internal customers and stakeholders and communicating about any issues or concerns that arise.
• For material inbounds/outbounds, proactively follows up with logistics partners to confirm the status of pending transfers and communicates to Procurement and Warehouse internal partners, to support 3‑way match.
• Monitoring existing logistics systems and making suggestions for improvement when needed.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking and creative problem‑solving skills.
• Team player with strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Lead and train SAP activities in the warehouse area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong SAP usage experience.
• Proficient in logistics software applications, databases/ERP/inventory systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and possess good decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Ability to multi‑task and exhibit attention to detail.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP preferred.
• Root cause analysis and problem‑solving skills (5 WHY) desired.
