Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Logistics Supervisor (2nd shift) to lead daily logistics, warehousing, inventory control and transportation across our air-cooled chiller assembly value stream.

You will drive safety, quality and on-time delivery by coaching a team of hourly operators and leaders, coordinating with 3rd party warehouses, performing 5S and root-cause problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics or supply chain.
• Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics or supply chain.
• 2+ years of experience in people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own a zero-incident culture; ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with EHS standards and reinforce safe behaviors through coaching and accountability.
• Conduct daily 5S & safety walks, identify hazards, and drive immediate countermeasures.
• Lead Material Execution team (MET) to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines.
• Lead daily meetings with 3rd party warehouse providers to ensure timely delivery of parts to production lines and ensure proper storage.
• Ensure effective shift handoffs and clear communication of priorities.
• Enforce adherence to standard work and quality processes.
• Lead root cause problem solving to eliminate recurring issues (5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Sustain and improve 5S standards across all areas of responsibility.
• Directly lead and develop a team of hourly operators and team leaders.
• Build team capability through training, cross-training, and skills development.
