Job description

Pay Range: 65K Base + $150/Deployed Daily Rate. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Job Summary:

The Logistics Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting emergency response programs for various natural disasters, including hurricanes, wildfires, and other significant weather incidents. This position is heavily focused on comprehensive equipment management and overall logistics during emergency response operations. The Logistics Supervisor provides essential support for clients, on-site personnel, and vendors/subcontractors, working closely with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for guidance and coordination. They ensure efficient operations and resource deployment across response sites

Duties/Responsibilities:

Some of your duties may include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all contracts, performance work statements, working instructions, and relevant regulations.
  • Completing all required reports accurately and on time, including inventory, equipment status, and logistical movements.
  • Processing requisitions for equipment and supplies, and ensuring Operations/Warehouse personnel are promptly notified of any deficiencies.
  • Ensuring all staff are thoroughly trained in completing appropriate forms, logs, and journals related to logistics and equipment.
  • Working with Human Resources to provide guidance on personnel matters, conflicts, performance counseling, and employment determinations for logistics and response personnel.
  • Reporting Daily PERSTAT (Personnel Status Report) to the Shared Services office.
  • Ensuring logistics staff are properly scheduled and that all operational workflows run efficiently.
  • Ensuring staff members accurately record their time.
  • Ensuring all equipment shipments are complete, accurate, and properly recorded in the designated inventory program.

Preferred Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:

  • Must possess minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within an emergency response, disaster relief, or high-tempo operational environment.
  • Must possess strong expertise in equipment management, including inventory control, tracking, deployment, and maintenance of various assets critical for disaster response.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in high-stress, rapidly evolving situations, adapting logistics plans to changing incident demands and priorities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team, coordinate with diverse stakeholders (EOC, clients, vendors), and provide clear instructions in chaotic environments.
  • Proficiency with logistics and inventory management software for accurate tracking and reporting.

Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
