Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a hands-on Logistics Supervisor to lead shipping, receiving, warehouse, and raw product receiving operations in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee daily logistics activities, coordinate staff, and ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective movement of products while meeting customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a related role or 5+ years with two-year college, plus leadership experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.

Qualifications

• Degree and 3+ years related experience, or two years college coursework and 5+ years related experience.
• Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory environment.
• Produce industry experience highly preferred.
• Forklift certification required; forklift trainer certification preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; familiarity with NAV or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate shipping and receiving operations, including forklift drivers and support personnel.
• Review shipping workloads, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and related documentation to establish priorities, assignments, and shipping methods.
• Optimize manpower planning and drive performance through key operational KPIs.
• Coordinate with Production, Sales, Quality, Maintenance and other departments to meet customer requirements.
• Assign work, monitor performance, provide training, and coach on policies, safety, and responsibilities.
• Oversee truck loading/unloading to ensure proper loading, product protection, and safe handling.
• Maintain the cold chain throughout shipping and receiving process.
• Maintain raw product receiving from scale through production, including cooling tube operations.
• Maintain accurate raw product inventory records.
• Inspect forklifts and coordinate repairs with Maintenance or outside providers.
• Promote safety, food safety, GMP, and PPE compliance.
