Job summary

Alford Media in Flower Mound, TX, is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to lead transportation, warehousing, and deployment of AV equipment for live events. You will own logistics planning systems, scheduling tools, data integrity, reporting, forecasting, and budget oversight.

You will develop event-aligned logistics plans, optimize fleet and asset utilization, manage vendors and SLA compliance, and mentor logistics staff. This role is in-office/warehouse, full-time, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of logistics, supply chain, transportation, or operations management experience.
• Experience in live events, AV, staging, production, or similar environments preferred.
• Experience with ERP, SharePoint, inventory, scheduling, and transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation, warehousing, and deployment of AV equipment and technical assets.
• Own logistics planning systems and scheduling tools, maintaining data integrity, reporting accuracy, forecasting, and user access.
• Develop logistics plans aligned with event schedules, labor requirements, and load-in/load-out timelines.
• Analyze forecasted demand and develop executable load and routing plans that maximize fleet and asset utilization.
• Monitor transportation costs, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service levels.
• Act as the logistics subject matter expert, delivering solutions for complex operational challenges and last-minute event changes.
• Manage vendors, carriers, and suppliers, including performance management, contract negotiation, and SLA compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop logistics personnel while fostering accountability, safety, and operational excellence.

Summary

The Logistics Supervisor leads logistics planning, transportation, fleet compliance, and event execution for audiovisual equipment supporting live events. This role owns logistics systems, transportation strategy, forecasting, cost optimization, vendor performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring exceptional event execution and customer satisfaction. This position will support our Alford Media team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office/warehouse based out of Flower Mound, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead transportation, warehousing, and deployment of AV equipment and technical assets.
• Own logistics planning systems and scheduling tools, maintaining data integrity, reporting accuracy, forecasting, and user access.
• Develop logistics plans aligned with event schedules, labor requirements, and load-in/load-out timelines.
• Analyze forecasted demand and develop executable load and routing plans that maximize fleet and asset utilization.
• Monitor transportation costs, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service levels.
• Act as the logistics subject matter expert, delivering solutions for complex operational challenges and last-minute event changes.
• Manage vendors, carriers, and suppliers, including performance management, contract negotiation, and SLA compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop logistics personnel while fostering accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
• Evaluate staffing requirements and allocate resources to meet operational demands and event schedules.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, ELD, HOS, vehicle inspection, and driver qualification requirements.
• Maintain fleet registrations, permits, insurance documentation, and audit readiness.
• Develop and enforce safe loading, unloading, transportation, and equipment handling procedures.
• Drive safety training and corrective action initiatives to reduce incidents and improve performance.

Education & Experience

• Three or more (3+) years of logistics, supply chain, transportation, or operations management experience.
• Experience in live events, AV, staging, production, or similar environments preferred.
• Experience with ERP, SharePoint, inventory, scheduling, and transportation management systems.
• Strong planning, forecasting, financial management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of fleet operations, DOT regulations, and transportation compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Forklift certification and Driver's License (Class A Preferred)
