Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Logistics Specialist for the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This 2nd shift, full-time role involves receiving and tracking equipment, coordinating with customers, and managing materials through the Work Control System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in scheduling, shipping and receiving, customer support, material planning, or related.
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems and standard applications.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receive equipment and materials from customers, document transfer of custody, inspect and document damage or anomalies.
• Transfer verified work request data into laboratory Work Control System (WCS) and track progress.
• Relocate incoming equipment to lab/shop areas and return completed items to Logistics, documenting custody transfer.
• Operate vehicle to pick up and deliver materials to various KSC locations.
• Order supplies, update receiving records, and deliver items to requester or bulk storage.
• Maintain shop stock and reorder materials to sustain required levels.
• Locate vendors, price, and initiate procurement for parts and refurbishments.
• Maintain certifications and permits, e.g., forklift operator.
• Perform other related duties as required.
