Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Laboratory Quality Assurance Technician to support the LASSO II contract at Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, FL. The role is full-time on the 2nd shift, with initial training on 1st shift to ensure proficiency with procedures, equipment, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities include monitoring disassembly and reassembly operations, conducting tests and measurements, ensuring adherence to specifications, and documenting findings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of quality assurance or inspection experience in aerospace or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality assurance support to projects, including monitoring hydrostat and disassembly operations, decontamination, reassembly, and leak tests.
• Verify cleanliness and compliance with procedures, perform analyses with instrumentation, and document discrepancies and test data.
• Conduct hydrocarbon and moisture monitoring and perform inspections in confined spaces or at elevations as required.
• Review work instructions and ensure fluids and equipment are within specification for proper use.
• Affix certification tags and decals to completed components to verify integrity.
