Astrion at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a Logistics Specialist for the 2nd shift to provide on-site support in the CRCA Facility. The role includes receiving materials, documenting custody, coordinating with customers, and moving items to and from the lab and logistics area.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience with scheduling, shipping/receiving, or material planning; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of scheduling, shipping/receiving, customer support, or material planning experience.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and standard applications.
• Good oral and written communication skills; safe driving record.

Responsabilités

• Receive equipment and materials from customers and document custody.
• Verify requests, document damage, and communicate issues to management.
• Enter data into the laboratory Work Control System and track status of work.
• Relocate items within laboratories and to the Logistics area; document custody transfer.
• Operate a vehicle to pick up and deliver materials to various locations at KSC.
• Maintain stock by issuing materials and ordering replacements as needed.
• Identify vendors, price parts, and initiate procurement for refurbishments.
• Maintain required certifications (e.g., forklift operator).
• Perform other related duties as required.
