Overview:
The Staging and Logistics Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT services by managing the staging, configuration, and logistics of hardware and software for our clients. This role involves preparing and configuring IT equipment, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IT hardware and software, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Staging and Configuration:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards during the staging and configuration process.
- Prepare and configure IT hardware and software for deployment to clients, ensuring all equipment is ready for use upon arrival.
- Perform quality checks on all staged equipment to ensure it meets company standards and client requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized staging area to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Logistics Management:
- Coordinate the shipping and receiving of IT equipment, including tracking shipments and managing inventory levels.
- Track all part movements with shipping partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of all staged and deployed equipment, including serial numbers, configurations, and client-specific information.
Ticketing System Updates:
- Update the ticketing system on all activities, including staging and configuration activities, shipment tracking information, and the status of shipments.
Client Support:
- Provide technical support to clients during deployment, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed, in collaboration with Remote Services and Technical Account Management teams.
- Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Client Success, and other departments to ensure smooth staging and logistics processes.
Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand customer needs, and provide professional, courteous service.
- Seek feedback to improve service quality and address client concerns directly when necessary.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of IT hardware and software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ticketing, CRM, inventory management, and logistics software.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in IT, Logistics, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 2-4 years in IT hardware/software staging, logistics, or related field.
