Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support asset management activities for government property programs. You will perform requirements identification, property issuance, transfer, disposal, and inventory using the government asset management system.

You will coordinate equipment accountability, semi-annual inventories, and personal property turn-ins during separations, and coordinate vehicle disposals under national contracts. A federal-level clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics support, asset management, or personal property management in a government or institutional setting.
• Familiarity with asset management systems and ability to coordinate data processing and reporting through electronic property management platforms.
• Ability to coordinate and report semi-annual property inventories and document results accurately.
• All personnel must obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Level 3) security clearance.
• Experience with federal government asset management systems, such as Sunflower or equivalent.
• Familiarity with federal personal property regulations and disposal procedures.
• Experience supporting logistics operations in a law enforcement or federal agency environment.
• 4 years of work experience in at least three relevant logistics or property management areas; or 100 hours of formal logistics training; or certification.

The Logistics Specialist performs requirements identification, property issuance, property transfer, property disposal, and property inventory through the government's asset management system. Responsibilities include coordinating employee equipment accountability and results reporting during semi-annual inventories, processing employee personal property turn‑ins, transfers, and disposals during employee separations, and coordinating vehicle disposals through applicable national contracts.

• Experience in logistics support, asset management, or personal property management in a government or institutional setting
• Familiarity with asset management systems and ability to coordinate data processing and reporting through electronic property management platforms
• Ability to coordinate and report semi-annual property inventories and document results accurately
• All personnel must obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Level 3) security clearance.
